Lead Rider - John (The Wheel)
Group - John(XR), Eddie (The Pie), Andy Mac & Andy  (Physco Andy)
Date - Sunday 15th July 2007 (Map Marking Exercise)

Meeting at Marple Bridge we set off towards Hope at around 9.30am using the legal lanes available, taking us up through Chinley and on to Roych Clough, stopping only to get through the gates on the Roych. We arrived at the cafe in Hope just after midday, where we had half an hours break and tucked into some tasty bacon sandwiches. Our next stop would be Bamford where we fuelled up. As we set off to the next lane the heavens opened, luckily by the time we had reached the petrol station, the rain had subsided.

After refuelling we set off on the next set of lanes which were quite challenging. A particularly long byway took us to the next stop where we met up with another TRF run group led by Swiss Tony and enjoyed a quick drink.

Off again and we ran into a bit of trouble, when Physco Andy decided to test how waterproof his WR was, after the rest of us had stopped laughing he managed to dry the bike out with help from Andy Mac. We then finally set off towards Buxton taking in some breathtaking views around Monsal Head. Refuelling at Buxton, we then made our way along the lanes towards Marple, returning back to Marple Bridge at about 6.30pm but not before the gasgas' chain came off twice! Due to the lack of teeth on the rear sprocket.

Despite the changing weather and Physco Andy doing his submarine impression a good day was had by all.

Ride outs are usually arranged at the club nights, catering for half day rides using easy lanes for the novice rider/newcomer, to all day rides putting in some serious miles using a mixture of easy and more technical trails.
