We took a ride on the lanes to Peakdale MotoX
practice track. Peakdale Y.M.C.C is an excellent
facility located not surprisingly in Peakdale
near Buxton. It consists basically of three
MotoX tracks(Two for kids and One for adults).
There is a trials practice area that you can
also use.
It's all located in a dissused quarry and
is superbly run by volunteers. The staff are
extremely friendly and helpfull and generally
cannot do enough to help you. Membership is
£45 per year then only £5 everytime
you go. There's bikes to hire for kids as
well as helmets etc.
Our ride consisted of meeting up at Marple
Bridge in the morning. We took the lanes up
to Buxton taking in the scenery & breakfast
on the way before arriving at 1pm (Opening
time). We met some other TRF club members
there and all had a good thrash around the
main track as well as a play in the trials
area.
By 5pm the staff had to throw us out (Politely)
in order for them to get home. Our day was
still not over as we then rode some more lanes
back stopping off at a country pub and the
jet wash on the way.
All in all an excellent day out. For more
details check out our Useful links page.

The countryside is for EVERYONE
to enjoy, so please be courteous to anyone you meet.
Trail riding is legal and legitimate
